The Sun Hydraulics SXCBKWN (Material Number: SXCBKWN) is an atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valve designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the inlet pressure at port 1 exceeds the valve setting. This sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to atmospheric venting, making it suitable for load-holding applications where a drain connection is not feasible. However, users should be aware that over time, these valves may experience external leakage or moisture ingress into the spring chamber. The valve features Sun's floating style construction, minimizing potential binding of internal parts due to excessive installation torque or machining variations. With a cavity type T-13A and Series 1 capacity of 15 gpm (60 L/min), this model operates effectively under a maximum pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar). It demonstrates a typical response time of 2 ms and maintains maximum valve leakage at reseat to 10 drops/min (0.7 cc/min). The adjustment mechanism allows for an increase in setting with approximately four clockwise turns, while installation requires a torque of 30-35 lbf ft (41-47 Nm). The adjustment screw has an internal hex size of 5/32 in. (4 mm), and the locknut hex size is 9/16 in. (15 mm) with a locknut torque specification of 80-90 lbf in. (9-10 Nm). Weighing .30 lb (.15 kg), this model also includes a Viton seal kit under part number 990010006. Due to its design characteristics, the SXCBKWN is ideal for applications where sequencing is necessary, allowing flow directionality as long as port 1 remains above the set pressure threshold.

Atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valves will supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) has exceeded the valve setting. The pressure setting of this sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the atmospheric vent.

  • Suitable for use in load holding applications.
  • Atmospherically referenced valves should only be used where it is impossible have a drain connection. Over time, the atmospherically referenced valves may leak externally or allow moisture into the spring chamber.
  • Approximately 1 drop (0,07 cc) of fluid will pass into the vented spring chamber every 4000 cycles.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
