The Sun Hydraulics SQHBQAV (SQHBQAV) is a kickdown sequence valve designed to kick completely open and remain open once the pressure at inlet port 1 exceeds the valve setting, facilitating an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to port 2. The valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 surpasses that at port 2, and it resets when the pressure at port 1 falls below its setting with no flow from port 1 to port 2, and when pressure at port 2 is equal to or greater than at port 1. All three-port sequence cartridges are interchangeable in terms of flow path and cavity for a given frame size. This model should not be utilized in load-holding applications. It features a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen and can handle pressures up to a maximum of 5000 psi (350 bar). The valve is intended for use on the actuator side of systems, requiring cessation of flow through the valve for resetting; if used on the pump side, pump flow must be halted for reset. The design incorporates Sun's floating style construction to minimize internal part binding due to excessive installation torque or machining variations. The SQHBQAV has a capacity of up to 60 gpm (240 L/min) with factory pressure settings established at kickdown points.
