The Sun Hydraulics SCCBLAN (SCCBLAN) is an atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valve with a reverse-flow check designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the inlet port 1 pressure surpasses the valve setting. This model features an integral check valve that allows reverse flow from port 2 back to port 1. The pressure setting of this sequence valve regulates the pressure at port 1 relative to the atmospheric vent, making it suitable for load-holding applications. It is important to note that atmospherically referenced valves like this one should only be used in situations where a drain connection is not feasible, as they may eventually leak externally or permit moisture into the spring chamber. Approximately one drop (0.07 cc) of fluid may enter the vented spring chamber every 4,000 cycles. This valve incorporates Sun's floating style construction, which minimizes internal part binding due to excessive installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations. The SCCBLAN has a capacity of 15 gpm (60 L/min) and operates at a maximum pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar). The typical response time is around 2 ms, with a maximum valve leakage at reseat of 10 drops/min (0.7 cc/min). The check cracking pressure is set at 40 psi (2.8 bar), and adjustments can be made by turning clockwise up to five turns to increase settings.
