The Sun Hydraulics RVGAKWN (RVGAKWN) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to function as a normally closed pressure regulating valve. Upon reaching the valve setting at the inlet port 1, the valve opens to tank port 2, throttling flow to manage pressure effectively. It features a vent port 3 for remote control via other pilot or two-way valves. This model is lauded for its accuracy, low pressure rise versus flow, smooth and quiet operation, and moderate speed. It can accept maximum pressure at port 2 and is suitable for cross port relief circuits; however, spool leakage should be considered in such applications. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen. Notably, it is unsuitable for load holding applications due to spool leakage.
