The Sun Hydraulics RVEAORN (RVEAORN) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to regulate pressure by opening to tank port 2 when the inlet port 1 reaches the valve setting. It features a vent port 3 for remote control via other pilot or 2-way valves. This cartridge is known for its accuracy, low pressure rise versus flow, smooth and quiet operation, and moderate speed. The RVEAORN can handle maximum pressure at port 2 and is suitable for cross-port relief circuits; however, spool leakage should be considered in such applications. It is not recommended for load-holding due to spool leakage. The main stage orifice includes a 150-micron stainless steel screen for protection. The valve's setting is directly affected by back pressure on tank port 2 at a 1:1 ratio. Cartridges with EPDM seals are compatible with phosphate ester fluids but can be damaged by petroleum-based substances.
