The Sun Hydraulics RVEAMGV (RVEAMGV) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed as a normally closed pressure regulating valve. It functions by opening to the tank port when the inlet pressure reaches the valve setting, thereby throttling flow to maintain regulated pressure. The inclusion of a vent port allows for remote control via other pilot or 2-way valves. This cartridge is noted for its accuracy, low pressure rise relative to flow, smooth and quiet operation, and moderate speed. It can accept maximum pressure at port 2, making it suitable for cross-port relief circuits; however, users should be aware of potential spool leakage in such applications. The main stage orifice is protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen. It is important to note that this valve is unsuitable for load-holding applications due to potential leakage.
