The Sun Hydraulics RVCAQEN (RVCAQEN) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed for precise pressure regulation in hydraulic systems. This normally closed valve opens to the tank port when the inlet pressure reaches the set threshold, allowing for controlled flow and pressure management. It features a vent port for remote control via other pilot or 2-way valves, making it adaptable for diverse applications. The RVCAQEN is known for its accuracy, low-pressure rise versus flow, smooth operation, quiet performance, and moderate speed. It can handle maximum pressure at port 2 and is suitable for cross-port relief circuits; however, users should consider spool leakage in such setups. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, ensuring durability and reliability. While not suitable for load-holding applications due to potential spool leakage, this valve accommodates back pressure on the tank port at a 1:1 ratio with the valve setting. Ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridges are normally closed pressure regulating valves. When the pressure at the inlet (port 1) reaches the valve setting, the valve starts to open to tank (port 2), throttling flow to regulate the pressure. They provide a vent port (port 3) that connects between the main piston and pilot stage to provide for remote control by other pilot or 2-way valves. These valves are accurate, have low pressure rise vs. flow, they are smooth and quiet, and are moderately fast.
