The Sun Hydraulics RVCACEV (RVCACEV) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed for pressure regulation. This normally closed valve begins to open to tank port 2 when the inlet pressure at port 1 reaches the set value, effectively throttling flow to maintain the desired pressure level. It features a vent port (port 3) that allows for remote control via other pilot or two-way valves. Known for its accuracy and low pressure rise relative to flow, this valve operates smoothly and quietly with moderate speed. The RVCACEV includes a remote pilot relief on port 3 vent, enabling control below its own setting. It can handle maximum pressure at port 2 and is suitable for cross-port relief circuits, though spool leakage should be considered in such applications. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen; however, this valve is not recommended for load-holding applications due to potential spool leakage. Backpressure on tank port 2 adds directly to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio.
