The Sun Hydraulics RVBALBV (Material Number: RVBALBV) is a ventable, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to function as a normally closed pressure regulating valve. When the inlet port pressure reaches the valve setting, it opens to the tank port, throttling flow to maintain pressure. It features a vent port that enables remote control via other pilot or 2-way valves. This valve is noted for its accuracy, low-pressure rise versus flow, smooth and quiet operation, and moderate speed. It can be controlled remotely by a pilot relief on the vent port and can handle maximum pressure at port 2, making it suitable for cross-port relief circuits\u2014though spool leakage should be considered in such applications. The minimum pressure setting is 75 psi (5 bar) for all spring ranges. However, it is not recommended for load holding applications due to potential spool leakage. Any back pressure on the tank port directly adds to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio.
