The Sun Hydraulics RSHCQAN (RSHCQAN) is a pilot-operated, balanced piston sequence valve designed to manage secondary circuit flow once the inlet port pressure exceeds the valve setting. This sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the drain port 3 and remains unaffected by back pressure at port 2, up to the valve setting. It can regulate pressure in place of two-port relief valves when there's return line pressure. All three-port sequence cartridges are interchangeable, maintaining consistent flow paths and cavity specifications for a given frame size. As inlet pressure at port 1 rises above the valve setting relative to port 3, pilot flow increases accordingly. The main stage orifice features a protective 150-micron stainless steel screen, and the maximum allowable pressure at port 3 is additive to the valve setting in a 1:1 ratio, not exceeding 5000 psi (350 bar). This model is not suitable for load-holding applications due to spool leakage. Adjustment controls (W and Y) can be specified with or without special settings; without specification, they adjust throughout their range, while specified settings indicate maximum adjustment levels. The Sun floating style construction minimizes internal part binding due to installation torque or machining variations. Pilot-operated, balanced piston sequence valves will supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) has exceeded the valve setting. The pressure setting of a sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the pressure at the drain (port 3). These valves are insensitive to back pressure at port 2 (sequence), up to the valve setting. They may be used to regulate pressure in place of 2-port relief valves if there is pressure in the return line.
