The Sun Hydraulics RPESCAV (RPESCAV) is a pilot-operated, balanced-poppet relief cartridge designed for precise pressure regulation in hydraulic systems. This normally closed valve activates when the pressure at inlet port 1 reaches the set threshold, allowing it to open towards tank port 2 and throttle flow to maintain stable pressure levels. Known for its accuracy, smooth operation, and quick response time of approximately 7 milliseconds, this valve is also engineered to minimize noise and prevent manifold erosion due to cavitation. It can handle a maximum operating pressure of up to 5000 psi (350 bar) and features a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, making it suitable for load-holding applications.
