The Sun Hydraulics PVJBKHN (PVJBKHN) is a ventable, pilot-operated pressure reducing/relieving valve designed to maintain a constant reduced pressure at port 1 from a higher primary pressure at the inlet, while also providing a full-flow relief function from port 1 to tank port 3. This valve is particularly useful for applications requiring remote control, as the vent port (port 4) can be manipulated by pilot or two-way valves. A notable feature of this model is its ability to add pressure at port 3 directly to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio, with an upper limit of 3000 psi (210 bar). The valve supports full reverse flow from reduced pressure port 1 to inlet port 2; however, this may cause the main spool to close unless an additional check valve is incorporated into the circuit for free reverse flow. Ventable, pilot-operated pressure reducing/relieving valves reduce a high primary pressure at the inlet to a constant reduced pressure at port 1, with a full-flow relief function from port 1 to tank (port 3). The vent port (port 4) can be used as a means for remote control by pilot or 2-way valves.

  • Pressure at port 3 is directly additive to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio and should not exceed 3000 psi (210 bar).
  • Full reverse flow from reduced pressure (port 1) to inlet (port 2) may cause the main spool to close. If reverse free flow is required in the circuit, consider adding a separate check valve to the circuit.
