The Sun Hydraulics PVJBCJN (PVJBCJN) is a ventable, pilot-operated pressure reducing/relieving valve designed to manage high primary pressures by reducing them to a consistent lower pressure at port 1. It also provides a full-flow relief function from port 1 to tank port 3. This valve is equipped with a vent port (port 4) that allows for remote control via pilot or two-way valves. The pressure at port 3 can be added directly to the valve setting in a 1:1 ratio, with a maximum allowable pressure of 3000 psi (210 bar). For circuits requiring reverse free flow from reduced pressure port 1 to inlet port 2, adding a separate check valve is recommended as the main spool may close without it. The valve exhibits minimal deadband transition between reducing and relieving modes, ensuring stable performance with low hysteresis and exceptionally flat pressure-flow characteristics. Ventable, pilot-operated pressure reducing/relieving valves reduce a high primary pressure at the inlet to a constant reduced pressure at port 1, with a full-flow relief function from port 1 to tank (port 3).
