The Sun Hydraulics PVJAKJV (PVJAKJV) is an externally drained, pilot-operated pressure reducing/relieving valve designed to maintain a consistent reduced pressure at port 1 from a higher primary pressure at inlet port 2. It features a full-flow relief function from port 1 to tank port 3. The valve's design includes draining the pilot section at port 4, which makes it insensitive to pressure at tank port 3 and allows for remote control using pilot or two-way valves. The maximum allowable pressure at port 3 is limited to 3000 psi (210 bar), while the recommended maximum inlet pressure varies based on the adjustment range, with some ranges tested up to 5000 psi (350 bar).
