The Sun Hydraulics PVFDLBV (Material Number: PVFDLBV) is a ventable, pilot-operated pressure reducing/relieving valve designed to reduce high primary pressure at the inlet to a constant reduced pressure at port 1, while providing a full-flow relief function from port 1 to tank port 3. This valve features a vent port (port 4) that enables remote control by pilot or two-way valves. Unique to this model is the main stage orifice drilled directly into the piston, enhancing durability in demanding applications. The valve setting can be adjusted with pressure at port 3, which should not exceed 3000 psi (210 bar). It allows reverse flow from reduced pressure port 1 to inlet port 2, although adding a separate check valve is recommended if reverse free flow is necessary. The pilot-operated design ensures low deadband transition between reducing and relieving modes and maintains exceptionally flat pressure-flow characteristics with low hysteresis for stable performance.
