The Sun Hydraulics PVDDLQN (PVDDLQN) is a ventable, pilot-operated pressure reducing-relieving valve designed to reduce high primary pressures at the inlet to a consistent reduced pressure at port 1, while also providing a full-flow relief function from port 1 to tank port 3. The valve features a vent port (port 4) that allows for remote control by pilot or two-way valves. With the main stage orifice drilled into the piston, this valve is built for durability in physically demanding applications. It supports pressure at port 3 up to 3000 psi (210 bar), which directly adds to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio. Notably, reverse flow from reduced pressure port 1 to inlet port 2 can cause the main spool to close; hence, a separate check valve may be necessary if reverse free flow is required in your circuit. This pilot-operated valve is known for its low deadband transition between reducing and relieving modes and has exceptionally flat pressure-flow characteristics with low hysteresis and high stability. Ventable, pilot-operated pressure reducing/relieving valves reduce a high primary pressure at the inlet to a constant reduced pressure at port 1, with a full-flow relief function from port 1 to tank (port 3).
