The Sun Hydraulics PSDBCAN (Material Number: PSDBCAN) is a direct-acting, pressure reducing-relieving valve designed to reduce high primary pressure at inlet port 2 to a consistent, lower pressure at port 1, while providing full-flow relief from port 1 to tank port 3. This valve features a damped construction for stable operation and is suitable for use with high reduced pressures. It is particularly useful in accumulator circuits due to its design that minimizes secondary circuit leakage by eliminating pilot control flow. The valve's direct-acting nature ensures reliable operation even in contaminated systems and dead-headed conditions, offering superior dynamic response compared to pilot-operated models. The PSDBCAN model is not ideal for counterbalancing applications due to its characteristic transitional step between reducing and relieving modes, which equals 5% of the high end of the adjustment range.
