The Sun Hydraulics FPHKXEN924 (FPHKXEN924) is a pilot-operated, normally closed, electroproportional throttle valve equipped with a reverse free flow check. When the coil is energized, it creates an opening force on the pilot stage, allowing the main stage poppet to open proportionally for metered flow from port 1 to port 2, while permitting reverse free flow from port 2 to port 1. This valve can handle pressures up to 5000 psi and features interchangeable coils compatible with other Sun full flow solenoid-operated valves. The valve can be installed in either direction on the tube. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use an amplifier with current sensing and adjustable dither between 100-250 Hz. The valve includes several manual override options, including a momentary twist override that allows manual shifting by twisting clockwise 90 degrees. In some circuit configurations, a reverse free flow check bypassing the compensator may be necessary when used with an external compensator.
