The Sun Hydraulics FPHKEEV72499 (FPHKEEV72499) is a versatile pilot-operated, normally closed, electroproportional throttle valve equipped with a reverse free flow check. When the coil is energized, it generates an opening force on the pilot stage, allowing the main stage poppet to open proportionally. This enables metered flow from port 1 to port 2 and reverse free flow from port 2 to port 1. The valve can operate under pressures up to 5000 psi and features interchangeable coils compatible with other Sun solenoid-operated valves. Installation flexibility is enhanced by the ability to mount coils in either direction on the tube. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use an amplifier with current sensing and adjustable dither between 100 and 250 Hz. The valve offers several manual override options, including a momentary twist override that allows operation by twisting clockwise 90 degrees. In applications requiring an external compensator, a reverse free flow check bypassing the compensator may be necessary.
