The Sun Hydraulics DSGXXEN (DSGXXEN) is a vent-to-shift, 2-position diverter valve that is normally closed. It operates by shifting when the pressure differential between port 3 and port 1 exceeds the spring force, connecting port 3 with ports 2 and 4. This valve is not bistable and can modulate between its two positions. The vent flow out of port 1 is pressure compensated, requiring a pressure source at port 3 relative to port 1 for operation. This valve is particularly useful in bypassing divider-combiner valves within limited-slip tractive circuits, allowing oil to either pass through these valves when closed or bypass them for efficient high-speed operation when open. Multiple diverter valves can be vented using a single pilot valve if blocking checks are incorporated at each diverter\u2019s port 1 to prevent interaction between high and low-pressure circuit legs.
