The Sun Hydraulics CVCEIFV (CVCEIFV) is a specialized hydraulic component designed for specific maintenance and service purposes. This 4-port, vented, pilot-to-open check valve is part of an older series that predates the current CVV design, featuring a non-standard Sun cavity and a unique port configuration. Not intended for new designs, the CVCEIFV serves as a replacement part in existing systems where similar components were originally integrated. The valve is characterized by its ability to proportionally reduce pressure, limiting the pressure at port 1 to about 75% of the pressure at port 2. It accommodates a flow capacity of up to 15 gpm (60 L/min) and operates within the T12A cavity specification under Series 1. For operational adjustments, models with manual load release control offer an option to manually release load by turning the control clockwise. This valve is particularly noted for its application in hydraulic systems where it can serve as a critical service item. Users should note that this model is recommended only for replacements or repairs in systems that previously utilized this specific configuration, as newer designs should opt for updated models from the CVV family to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.

These 4 port, vented, pilot-to-open check valves predate the current design, CV*V. They use a non-standard, modified Sun cavity and a non-standard port configuration. They are not to be used for new designs.

  • These valves should be considered service items only. New applications should use valves from the CV*V family.
  • This valve has a proportional pressure reducing characteristic that limits the pressure developed at port 1 to about 75% of the pressure at port 2.
  • For models with manual load release control option, turn load release clockwise to release load.
