The Sun Hydraulics RDHAQAV (RDHAQAV) is a direct-acting relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. This normally closed, pressure-limiting valve opens to the tank port 2 when the pressure at inlet port 1 reaches the set valve threshold, effectively throttling flow to control pressure rise. Known for its smooth operation and noise-free performance, this valve is essentially zero-leak, dirt-tolerant, and immune to silting while offering rapid response times. It is interchangeable with all other 2-port relief cartridges except pilot reliefs, sharing the same flow path and cavity for identical frame sizes. The RDHAQAV can handle maximum pressure at port 2, making it suitable for cross-port relief circuits and load-holding applications. Its design incorporates Sun's floating style construction to reduce internal part binding due to installation torque or machining variations.
