The Sun Hydraulics RBADLCN (RBADLCN) is a direct-acting, pilot relief cartridge valve designed to incorporate back-to-back check valves. This design enables the valve to remotely control two other pilot-operated valves or function as a thermal relief for both ends of an actuator, making it suitable for load holding applications. The valve's capacity is limited to pilot flow, necessitating its use with other valves that have comparable pilot flows. The back-to-back check valves effectively prevent cross talk between the two remote-controlled valves, and a single adjustment can control both valves simultaneously. The check cracking pressure is rated at 15 psi (1 bar), and pressure at port 3 adds directly to the valve setting. This model features Sun's floating style construction, minimizing the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. It has a cavity size of T-11A, Series 1, with a capacity of 0.25 gpm (1 L/min) and a typical response time of 2 ms. Maximum valve leakage at 110 SUS (24 cSt) is limited to 5 drops/min (0.3 cc/min). Adjustments are made via an internal hex screw with five clockwise turns needed to increase the setting; it also includes a locknut requiring specific torque values for secure installation. The RBADLCN offers robust performance in preventing overpressure due to thermal expansion of fluid and is built with Viton seals for durability under various conditions. It is ideal for applications requiring precise control and reliable performance in hydraulic systems where thermal relief or dual-valve control is necessary.

This direct-acting, pilot relief cartridge incorporates back-to-back check valves. This allows it to remotely control 2 other pilot-operated valves or act as a thermal relief for both ends of an actuator. Because capacity is limited to pilot flow, this valve should be used with other valves with comparable pilot flows.

  • The back-to-back check valves prevent cross talk between the two valves that are being remote controlled.
  • One adjustment controls two valves.
  • Check cracking pressure is 15 psi (1 bar).
  • Pressure at port 3 is directly additive to the valve setting.
  • Suitable for load holding applications
  • The term thermal relief means it prevents overpressure due to thermal expansion of the fluid.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
