The Sun Hydraulics PBJBWHN (PBJBWHN) is a pilot-operated pressure reducing valve designed to manage high primary pressures at the inlet port, reducing them to a constant lower pressure at port 1. This capability allows circuits with varying pressure requirements to operate efficiently using a single pump. The valve is part of the interchangeable three-port pressure reducing and reducing-relieving cartridges, which share the same flow path and cavity for consistent frame sizes. For optimal performance, particularly in mounting configurations, it is advisable to utilize a full capacity return line port 3 with reducing-relieving cartridges. The main stage orifice of the valve is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, ensuring durability and reliability. The PBJBWHN model can handle maximum operating pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar), with specific adjustment ranges tested under different maximum differential pressures: D, E, N, and Q ranges are tested with a differential of up to 2000 psi (140 bar), while A, B, and H ranges can handle up to 3000 psi (210 bar).
