The Sun Hydraulics CNHEXDV (CNHEXDV) is a high-performance hydraulic check valve designed for advanced fluid control applications. This spring-biased closed, pilot-to-close check cartridge features a bypass orifice whose diameter can be specified by the customer, accommodating a range from 0.4 mm to 6.4 mm. The valve operates by allowing flow from port 1 to port 2 while restricting flow in the reverse direction, with pressure at pilot port 3 opposing pressure at port 1 at a nominal pilot ratio of 1.8:1. Engineered for robust performance, the CNHEXDV includes hardened steel seats that offer exceptional wear characteristics and tolerance to contamination. This durability is crucial in maintaining valve integrity and functionality over extended periods and under harsh operating conditions. The design incorporates Sun\u2019s floating style construction which minimizes internal parts binding that could result from excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. The valve's specifications include a T17A cavity, Series 3 compatibility, and a maximum capacity of 80 gpm (320 L/min). It has an installation torque requirement of between 150 and 160 lbf ft (203 - 217 Nm), ensuring secure and reliable installation in hydraulic systems. Additionally, it uses Viton seals for enhanced performance under varying temperature and chemical conditions. This product is particularly suitable for applications where precise fluid control is necessary, including various machinery and heavy equipment used in industries requiring meticulous hydraulic management. The CNHEXDV's ability to maintain closure with equal pressures at all ports or to open upon any decay or loss of pilot pressure provides critical operational flexibility and safety.

This valve is a spring biased closed, pilot-to-close check cartridge with a bypass orifice. It incorporates a steel seat and is non-vented. The valve allows flow from port 1 to port 2 and restricts flow from port 2 to port 1. Pressure at the pilot (port 3) opposes pressure at port 1 at a ratio of 1.8:1. Pressure at port 2 directly opposes the pilot pressure. Note: The bypass orifice diameter is specified by the customer. See Technical Data below for the allowable orifice range.
- Features hardened steel seats for excellent wear characteristics and contamination tolerance.
- Nominal pilot ratio is 1.8:1. This means that a pressure of 1000 psi (70 bar) at the pilot port will close a valve against a pressure of 1800 psi (125 bar) at port 1. Any decay or loss of pilot pressure could allow the valve to open, even if it is a momentary decay or loss.
- Pressure at the port 2 area directly opposes pilot pressure.
- With equal pressures at all ports the valve is closed.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
