The Bosch Rexroth 4WMM10EB5X//V (R901403957) is a manually actuated directional spool valve designed for controlling the start, stop, and direction of fluid flow within a hydraulic system. This particular model features a hand lever for actuation, which manipulates the control spool to achieve the desired position, thereby directing the hydraulic flow accordingly. The directional valve is comprised of a robust housing, control spool, and one or two return springs which secure the spool in its central or initial position when not energized—except for version O which behaves differently. This valve falls under the WMM series and comes with a detent feature (indicated by "DXF" in some types) that helps maintain the spool position during operation. For conditions that produce flows exceeding the valve's performance limit during switching processes, it is necessary to utilize a throttle insert to ensure proper functioning and prevent damage. The 4WMM10EB5X//V has been engineered to accommodate a maximum operating pressure of up to 350 bar and can handle maximum flow rates up to 60 liters per minute. It adheres to ISO porting pattern standards ensuring compatibility with various hydraulic systems. The component series X denotes its modern design iteration, assuring users of its compliance with current engineering standards and practices. This Bosch Rexroth valve is particularly suitable for applications requiring precise manual control over hydraulic flow paths in various types of machinery and equipment where electronic control may not be optimal or desired. Its construction ensures reliability and durability for consistent performance in demanding operational conditions.
Valves of type WMM are manually actuated directional spool valves.
They control the start, stop and direction of a flow.
The directional valves basically consist of housing (1), one type of actuation (2.1) (hand lever), control spool (3) and one or two return springs (4).
When de-energized, the control spool (3) is held in the central position or in the initial position by the return springs (4) (except for version "O").
The control spool (3) is moved to the desired spool position by means of the types of actuation.

Throttle insert
The use of a throttle insert is required when, due to prevailing operating conditions, flows occur during the switching processes which exceed the performance limit of the valve.

Notice!
The specified performance limits are valid for use with two directions of flow (e. g. from P to A and simultaneous return flow from B to T).
Due to the flow forces acting within the valves, the admissible performance limit may be considerably lower with only one direction of flow (e. g. from P to A while port B is blocked)!
In such use cases, please consult us!
