The Bosch Rexroth BRAKING ELEMENT KBH 6505 BS1A (R181064021) is a high-performance hydraulic braking unit designed for roller rail systems. This robust and compact unit offers dynamic and static stabilization in the axial direction, ensuring stability and safety in various applications. It is compatible with DIN standards and can be used on all SNS roller guide rails, demonstrating versatility across different system sizes. With an impressive capability of up to 10 million clamping cycles and up to 250,000 emergency braking operations, the KBH 6505 BS1A is built for heavy-duty use. The solid, rigid steel housing is chemically nickel-plated for durability, while the integrated all-around sealing provides protection against contaminants. This model boasts special pressure diaphragm technology that guarantees maximum functional reliability without pressure losses or leakage. The brake shoes feature integrated positive-locking with large-surface contact profiles that contribute to maximum axial rigidity. The unit's high positioning accuracy is complemented by a release pressure of 50 bar. It operates efficiently within a permissible ambient temperature range of -10°C to +80°C. Furthermore, the KBH 6505 BS1A employs a hydraulic pressure principle of 50 bar for clamping and braking with pressure, where large-scale clamping profiles are pressed through hydraulic oil via a piston principle directly to the flanks of the Roller Guide Rail. A pre-tensioned return spring enables short decompression cycles, enhancing the operational efficiency. This model has threaded connections on both sides for hydraulic integration and supports various profiled rail system sizes including A, B, E, H, N, and S. Its nominal size fits seamlessly into existing systems while maintaining low displacement values for precision work. The KBH 6505 BS1A weighs approximately 2.7 kg and maintains its functionality even under substantial loads due to its super heavy-duty design.

Additional information

Hydraulic connections

The hydraulic clamping elements are pre-filled with HLP 46 at the factory. The hydraulic connection is attached on two sides.

One connection is suitable for the application. Take care when venting the fixed and flexible hydraulic lines, because air connections can damage the sealing elements.

Connection structure, mounting the clamping elements

To prevent detrimental effects, e.g. permanent grinding on the linear guide, the connection structure must be rigidly designed according to its load and requirements. If there is tilt of the clamping elements, this can result in contact, wear and therefore damage to the linear guide.

The setting at the factory is adapted for the linear guide and may not be altered during assembly.

It is imperative to observe the mounting instructions for the clamping and braking units and the linear guides.

Some spring-loaded accumulators are equipped with a transport lock between the contact profiles.

This must be removed during assembly by means of pressurization of the element. When the pressure is removed, the transport lock or the associated linear guide must always lie between the contact profiles.

The clamping elements do not serve any guide function. Therefore, it is not possible to replace a roller runner block with a clamping element. The ideal position of the clamping element lies between two roller runner blocks.

When using several clamping elements, these should be distributed evenly on both roller guide rails in order to attain a maximum rigidity of the overall construction.

Lubrication

When using the prescribed printing medium, lubrication is not required.

Surface finish protection

All housings of the clamping elements are chemically nickel-plated and therefore have limited rust protection. Aluminum subsections are chemically nickel-plated according to their requirement.

B10d-value

The B10d-value specifies the number of switching cycles, until 10% of the components have failed dangerously.

Notes for mounting

Stop surfaces can be used on two sides. Make sure the connection structure is rigid. Observe the mounting instructions prior to commissioning. Check whether the sealing lips of the end seals are resting evenly on the roller guide rail. Realign if necessary.
