The Bosch Rexroth LUBRICATING UNIT 45 (R181042500) is a specialized front lube unit designed for high-performance roller rail systems. This lubricating unit is engineered to be compatible with RSHP roller runner blocks and the latest generation of roller runner blocks, ensuring efficient operation for travel distances of up to 20,000 km without the need for relubrication. The product boasts an initial lubrication requirement only, significantly reducing maintenance efforts. This front lube unit features a unique design that allows it to be mounted on both sides of the Roller Runner Block, minimizing lubricant loss and oil consumption. Its efficient design eliminates the need for external lubrication lines, offering a more streamlined and clean setup. The unit can be easily refilled using the lube nipple located on the endface or at the side, enhancing user convenience. The LUBRICATING UNIT 45 is suitable for various sizes of profiled rail systems including size H, B, N, E, and A. It operates within an ambient temperature range from -10°C to +80°C and has an operating temperature range up to +100°C. The product also features a nominal size that accommodates different system requirements. Additionally, this front lube unit incorporates a special lubricant distribution construction that ensures lubrication is delivered precisely where it's most needed—on the running tracks and top surfaces of the roller guide rails. It comes with a grease-filled oil tank and front seals that contribute to its reduced oil consumption feature. The Bosch Rexroth LUBRICATING UNIT 45 enhances the longevity and reliability of linear guide systems by providing consistent lubrication in critical areas while being easy to maintain. Its robust construction and thoughtful design make it an essential accessory for maintaining optimal performance in profiled rail systems across various applications.

Prior to assembling the front lube units, an initial lubrication of the roller runner blocks with grease lubricant is required! See Roller Rail Systems - General technical notes and information, chapter "Maintenance".
Assembly of front lube units
The coated screws required for attachment additional end seals are supplied along with the unit.
In each case, mount a front lube unit (1) on both sides of the roller runner block! Do not remove the roller runner block from the rail! Slide on the front lube units (1) and end seals (2) and align them on the roller runner block. Tighten screws (3) with tightening torque MA (see table).

Notes
The coated screws required for attachment on the roller runner block, additional end seals and lube nipples are supplied along with the unit. The front lube units are already filled with oil (Mobil SHC 639) and can be mounted immediately after basic lubrication of the roller runner blocks.
Lubrication intervals for roller runner blocks with front lube units
Check the front lube units once the travel distance as specified in Figure (see below) is attained.Upon reaching the travel distance - or after no more than 2 years - we recommend replacing the front lube units and re-lubricating the roller runner block prior to assembly of the new front lube unit. In clean operating conditions, the roller runner blocks (sizes 35 to 65 on the side and size 25 at the front) can be re-lubricated with grease (Dynalub 510) (see table "Re-lubrication in cm3").
Attention:
If other lubricants are used, this may lead to a reduction in the lubrication intervals, the achievable travel in short-stroke applications, and the load capacities. Possible chemical interactions between the plastic materials, lubricants and preservative oils must also be taken into account. The recommended lubrication intervals depend on environmental factors, load and load type. Examples of environmental factors include swarf, mineral abrasion (or similar), solvent and temperature. Examples of load and load type are oscillations, shocks and tilting. The operating conditions are not known to the manufacturer. Only the user's own attempts or accurate monitoring can yield safety over the lubrication intervals. No water-based coolant/lubricant on the roller guide rails and roller runner block!

Load-dependent lubrication intervals for roller runner block with front lube units, size 25 to 65
This applies to the following conditions:
Roller runner block lubricants: Dynalub 510 (grease NLGI 2) or alternatively Castrol Longtime PD 2 (grease NLGI 2) Front lube units lubricant: Mobil SHC 639 (synthetic oil) Maximum speed: vmax = 2 m/s No media pressurization Standard seals Ambient temperature: T = 10 – 40°C
Note
The load ratio F/C is the quotient of the equivalent dynamic load on bearing F (making allowance for the preload for C2 or C3) divided by the dynamic load capacity C (see “Roller Rail Systems – General technical notes and information,” section “Technical data,” general technical data and calculations).
