The Bosch Rexroth BRAKING ELEMENT MBPS 2005 AS1A (R161984031) is a high-performance pneumatic braking unit designed for dynamic and static stabilization in axial directions. This braking element is specifically engineered to clamp and brake without pressurization, utilizing spring energy for its operation. It boasts up to 1 million clamping cycles and can handle up to 50,000 emergency braking operations, ensuring reliability and longevity in demanding applications. The unit features integrated all-around sealing and is maintenance-free, with a Bd value indicating its high continuous output capacity. Its mechanical gate valve gear mechanism contributes to its robustness, while the solid, rigid steel housing with chemical nickel plating ensures durability. The low air consumption of the BRAKING ELEMENT MBPS 2005 AS1A makes it an efficient solution for various pneumatic applications. Capable of delivering holding forces up to 25,000 N at just 4.5 bar release pressure thanks to addons with three pistons connected in series combined with strong springs, this model provides high positioning accuracy for precise operations. The permissible ambient temperature range for this unit spans from -30°C to +80°C, accommodating a wide array of working environments. Designed to be compatible with all SNS ball guide rails, this model can be utilized across size B profiled rail systems through size H profiled rail systems. Its compact design includes a height of the runner block at 28 mm and accommodates various sizes of profiled rail systems including A, D, E, N, and S thread diameter profiled rail systems M12. The nominal size functionality ensures adaptability across different system requirements. In summary, the Bosch Rexroth BRAKING ELEMENT MBPS 2005 AS1A (R161984031) stands out as a versatile and robust component suitable for a multitude of clamping and braking applications where high performance and reliability are essential.
Pneumatic braking unit MBPS, 20
Pneumatic braking unit MBPS, FLS for ball rail systems
Size = 20
Can be used on all SNS ball guide rails
Unpacked Weight: 0.553 kg
Functional principle
Air pressure: 0 bar
Clamps and brakes with spring force
In the event of a pressure drop, the clamping or braking effect is achieved via a dual acting gate valve gear mechanism with one spring assembly (spring energy accumulator) in each case.
An integrated quick-exhaust valve provides for short reaction times.
Air pressure: 4.5 - 8 bar (MBPS)
5.5 - 8 bar (UBPS)
Decompression with air pressure
The clamping profiles are held apart by the compressed air.
Free movement is possible
