The following figure shows load-dependent spring. The diagram applies for installation: Without preload With zero clearance (no preload) for load direction ρ = 0° – 90° and 270° – 360°

Radial Linear Bushing rigidity

Installing with preload reduces spring. Additional spring in all parts of a linear guide (housing, shaft, shaft support rail) depends on the load direction. Guideline values for total spring with R1076 and R1010 elements: load direction factor multiplied by spring ∂ (from right diagram).

Effect of load direction on load rating

The load ratings C and C0 specified for Radial Linear Bushings apply for load direction ρ = 0°. If the external load is at an angle ρ = 90° – 270°, a reduced load capacity must be factored in. The dynamic load rating is then determined by multiplying the specified dynamic load rating C or C0 by the load direction factors fρ or fρ0. This reduced load capacity can be avoided by careful installation of the radial Linear Bushings.
