The Bosch Rexroth LINEAR-SET LSRSE-40-DD (R107824020) is a high-precision linear motion component designed for various applications requiring precise and smooth linear movement. This linear set is crafted from steel and includes a standard precision housing with a side opening, which allows for easy installation and maintenance. The radial linear bushing within the set is adjustable and comes equipped with two wiper seals to protect against contaminants, ensuring long-lasting performance. Featuring a shaft diameter of 'd' and designed to be relubricatable, the LINEAR-SET LSRSE-40-DD enhances the longevity of the system by allowing for periodic maintenance. The product operates efficiently within a permissible ambient temperature range, although specific temperature values are provided as footnotes that detail the minimum and maximum short-time temperatures that the unit can withstand. With its dynamic load capacity 'C' specified for loads applied in the main direction indicated by arrow FsubHsub or FsubHsub, this linear set ensures reliable operation under various loading conditions. It also has a static load rating 'C' that indicates its ability to withstand stationary loads without deformation. The outer diameter 'D', size 'SW', breakaway force, maximum permissible linear speed 'vmax', friction force, and radial clearance are all meticulously engineered to meet high standards of performance. The LINEAR-SET comes pre-set to zero-clearance before delivery to provide optimal precision right out of the box. This product belongs to the product group ID associated with linear bushing and shaft systems. Its format falls under the SE category with side opening, adjustable for versatile application use. The dynamic load capacity 'C' signifies its capability to handle kinetic loads while maintaining accuracy and speed. Additionally, it's important to note that when open Linear Bushings are subjected to loads counter to the direction of opening, there will be a significant reduction in load capacity. However, this design allows for full utilization of its high dynamic load ratings due to its innovative side installation feature of radial Linear Bushings.

Definition of dynamic load ratings
Rigidity
Combining a radial Linear Bushing with a continuously supported guide shaft ensures a precise, rigid design.
The following figure shows load-dependent spring. The diagram applies for installation: Without preload With zero clearance (no preload) for load direction ρ = 0° – 90° and 270° – 360°Radial Linear Bushing rigidity
Installing with preload reduces spring. Additional spring in all parts of a linear guide (housing, shaft, shaft support rail) depends on the load direction. Guideline values for total spring with R1076 and R1010 elements: load direction factor multiplied by spring ∂ (from right diagram).

Effect of load direction on load rating
The load ratings C and C0 specified for Radial Linear Bushings apply for load direction ρ = 0°. If the external load is at an angle ρ = 90° – 270°, a reduced load capacity must be factored in. The dynamic load rating is then determined by multiplying the specified dynamic load rating C or C0 by the load direction factors fρ or fρ0. This reduced load capacity can be avoided by careful installation of the radial Linear Bushings.
