The Bosch Rexroth STD.LINEAR BUSHING KBM-E-40-DD (R061204010) is a robust linear motion component designed for high-demand applications. This standard metal linear bushing features an adjustable design, allowing for precise radial clearance adjustments to accommodate various application requirements. Engineered with a rugged all-metal design and a steel ball retainer, it is particularly suited for harsh environments and heavy contamination scenarios such as those encountered in woodworking, foundries, and cement plants. The KBM-E-40-DD has a shaft diameter of 40 mm and is equipped with two seals to provide enhanced protection against contaminants. It also includes many pockets that act as lubricant reservoirs which can extend lubrication intervals or even enable lubrication for life under certain conditions. The integrated wiper seals prevent dirt from jamming the bushing while the steel retaining rings allow operation at higher temperatures or under vacuum conditions. This linear bushing boasts a hardened and ground outer sleeve to ensure durability and performance, while the steel ball retainer accommodates shaft diameters of 40 mm. For smaller diameters, a plastic retainer made of PA is used. The balls are crafted from rolling bearing steel to ensure smooth motion. With its four rows of balls, the KBM-E-40-DD offers reliable load-carrying capacity. The dynamic load capacities provided by Bosch Rexroth are based on a total travel distance of 100,000 m but can be adjusted depending on travel distance variations. The product features an impressive maximum dynamic load capacity and breakaway force, ensuring reliable performance in dynamic applications. Weighing in at 0.7 kg with size E configuration and an outer diameter of D1=62 mm, this linear bushing provides an optimal balance between size and capability. Its permissible ambient temperature range extends from -30°C to +80°C without wiper seals, accommodating various operating environments while maintaining its efficiency indicated by its friction coefficient values. In summary, the Bosch Rexroth STD.LINEAR BUSHING KBM-E-40-DD is engineered for precision, durability, and adaptability in challenging industrial settings where reliability is paramount.

Impact of load direction on load rating of closed Linear Bushings

The listed load ratings should be chosen depending on installation in minimum or maximum position and should be based on the calculations. If the load direction is clearly defined and the Linear Bushings can be installed in maximum position, the load ratings Cmax. (dynamic load rating) and C0 max (static load rating) can be used. If aligned installation is not possible or the load direction is not defined, the minimum load ratings must be used.

Definition of dynamic load ratings

Installation dimensions/interchangeability

Standard Linear Bushings have the same installation dimensions as super Linear Bushings. They are interchangeable, differ however in terms of securing, radial clearance, load ratings and lubrication.

Sealing

Standard Linear Bushings come with a wiper seal with shaft diameters of 5 and higher. Open standard Linear Bushings with shaft diameters 20 to 80 can also come fully sealed (with longitudinal seal; increased friction).
