The Bosch Rexroth STD.LINEAR BUSHING KBM-40-DD-NR (R060204030) is a high-quality linear motion component designed for precision and durability. This standard metal, closed linear bushing is equipped with two seals, ensuring reliable operation in harsh environments and heavy contamination. It features a rugged all-metal design with a steel ball retainer that makes it suitable for demanding applications where exposure to dirt and debris is common. The KBM-40-DD-NR has a shaft diameter of 40mm and its construction includes many pockets that act as lubricant reservoirs, which can either extend lubrication intervals or allow for lubrication-free life, depending on the application requirements. The bushing's balls, outer sleeve, ball retainer, and integrated retaining rings are all made of stainless steel that provides corrosion resistance and makes it suitable for use in the medical, chemistry, and food industries. This linear bushing is designed for self-supporting shafts and can be used in various industrial settings such as woodworking shops, foundries, and cement plants. Its design helps collect any dirt that may enter the system to prevent jamming. The product offers an impressive maximum dynamic load capacity (Cmax) which ensures it can handle heavy loads effectively. The KBM-40-DD-NR operates within a permissible ambient temperature range from -30°C to +80°C when unsealed. It also has specific characteristics like breakaway force requirements and friction coefficients that ensure smooth operation under varying conditions. The friction force generated by this linear bushing with integrated wiper seals on two sides depends on speed and lubrication conditions. Weighing approximately 0.5 kg, the Bosch Rexroth STD.LINEAR BUSHING KBM-40-DD-NR provides a reliable solution for linear motion needs across a wide array of industrial applications with its durable build and precise engineering.

Impact of load direction on load rating of closed Linear Bushings

The listed load ratings should be chosen depending on installation in minimum or maximum position and should be based on the calculations. If the load direction is clearly defined and the Linear Bushings can be installed in maximum position, the load ratings Cmax. (dynamic load rating) and C0 max (static load rating) can be used. If aligned installation is not possible or the load direction is not defined, the minimum load ratings must be used.

Definition of dynamic load ratings

Installation dimensions/interchangeability

Standard Linear Bushings have the same installation dimensions as super Linear Bushings. They are interchangeable, differ however in terms of securing, radial clearance, load ratings and lubrication.

Sealing

Standard Linear Bushings come with a wiper seal with shaft diameters of 5 and higher. Open standard Linear Bushings with shaft diameters 20 to 80 can also come fully sealed (with longitudinal seal; increased friction).
