The Bosch Rexroth SEGMT.LINEAR BUSH. KBSE-40-NR (R066804030) is a segmental linear bushing that offers precision movement and guidance in linear motion applications. This closed type bushing, designed without a seal, features corrosion resistance which makes it suitable for use in environments where it may come into contact with corrosive substances, such as those found in the medical, chemistry, and food industries. Its construction includes segmental load-bearing plates made of stainless steel and balls also crafted from stainless steel to ensure durability and longevity. The KBSE-40-NR has a shaft diameter of 'd' and is characterized by its low friction coefficient, which minimizes the resistance during motion. The product's dynamic load capacities are determined based on a total travel of 100,000 m; however, for applications with only 50,000 m of travel, the capacity values can be adjusted accordingly. Notably, this model allows for optional separate wiper seals to be added if needed. Engineered for general requirements, the unit is capable of handling maximum dynamic and static load capacities (Cmax and Cmin), with the actual values detailed in the product specifications. It operates efficiently within a permissible ambient temperature range from -30°C to +80°C. The outer diameter 'D', breakaway force, maximum permissible linear speed 'vmax', radial clearance shaft bore 'K' and 'hH', along with other critical dimensions are provided to ensure compatibility with various setups. Additionally, the KBSE-40-NR can achieve a maximum acceleration 'amax' while maintaining its performance integrity. The weight of this linear bushing is optimized for its size and function without compromising on strength or reliability. Designed as part of Bosch Rexroth's comprehensive line of linear motion products, this model ensures smooth operation across a wide range of industrial applications.

Effect of load direction on load rating

The listed load ratings should be chosen depending on installation in minimum or maximum position and should be based on the calculations. If the load direction is clearly defined and the Linear Bushings can be installed in maximum position, the load ratings Cmax. (dynamic load rating) and C0 max (static load rating) can be used. If aligned installation is not possible or the load direction is not defined, the minimum load ratings must be used.

Reduced load capacity with short stroke

In case of a short stroke, the service life of the shaft is less than that of the segmental Linear Bushing. The load ratings C specified in the tables must therefore be multiplied by the factor f.s .

Selection guide for operation under difficult conditions

For constantly humid or damp conditions caused, for instance, by water-based coolants/lubricants, we recommend the stainless steel Linear Bushing with parts made of steel in accordance with ISO 683-17 / EN 10088.

Life expectancy calculation

Installation

Install the segmental Linear Bushings using an arbor press (see General Installation Instructions). In order to prevent contamination in the segmental Linear Bushing, we recommend making sure that a segmental load bearing plate is covered by the slot when installing in slotted receivers.
