The Bosch Rexroth BASE UNIT 120+ CENTER (3842552942) is a versatile and robust center drive basic unit designed for conveyor systems where space is at a premium at the ends of the sections. This product can be easily converted into a fully functional center drive by adding the provided drive kit, allowing for variable motor mounting positions to suit different installation requirements. The unit boasts reduced noise emission due to slide rails guided in the head drive, and it facilitates the installation of the drive kit on either the right or left side, including motor, coupling, and flange components. The BASE UNIT 120+ CENTER is equipped with a hexagonal hollow shaft as standard for driving parallel conveyor sections or bridges. It features ball bearings made of non-rusting steel with seals on both sides and FDA-compliant grease filling, ensuring durability and compliance with food safety regulations. The side elements come with slots for attaching holders for lateral guides or similar accessories. With chain return on the underside of the profile, this basic unit supports conveying speeds up to a certain number of meters per minute (m/min), with other speeds available upon request. It can handle a maximum permissible chain tensile force (Fmax) and is capable of conveying lengths up to a specified maximum without requiring length compensation due to no chain bag being present; however, regular checks and adjustments to the chain length are necessary. This product comes fully assembled with fastening material included, and profile connectors are enclosed in the package. The housing is made from non-rusting steel, while other components such as the chain wheel, chain guide, connector, hexagonal shaft, and ball bearing also feature non-rusting steel construction along with PA (Polyamide) material for certain parts—all designed to offer reliability and ease of maintenance in various conveyor applications.
