The Sun Hydraulics RBAELCN (RBAELCN) is a two-port, pilot-stage, direct-acting relief cartridge that functions as a fully adjustable, normally closed pressure-regulating valve. This product is designed to open a flow path from port 1 to port 2 when the inlet pressure at port 1 surpasses the spring force setting of the valve. It utilizes the Sun T-8A two-port cavity, making it an ideal choice for use alongside Sun's main stage pilot or vent-to-operate cartridges. This design eliminates the need for separate pilot lines and requires only one cavity to accommodate both control and primary functions. The valve can handle pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports 1 and 2. The RBAELCN features hardened poppet and seat components that ensure consistent operation, low leakage rates, and superior wear characteristics. It incorporates Sun's floating style construction to minimize internal part binding due to excessive installation torque or machining variations in cavity/cartridge applications. Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are suitable for systems using phosphate ester fluids but should not be exposed to petroleum-based fluids, greases, or lubricants as they may damage the seals.
