The Sun Hydraulics FTDAXCV (Material Number: FTDAXCV) is a 2-way, 2-position proportional throttle valve designed for precise flow control in hydraulic systems. This valve features ports 2 and 3 that are normally closed, with pilot pressure at port 1 opposing the spring to create a variable metering orifice between ports 2 and 3. This orifice is proportional to the pressure at port 1, allowing for partial self-compensation as load pressure changes. The dual path design incorporates a double port area for improved performance. For enhanced accuracy in flow control, the valve can be paired with an external modulating logic element, such as LRCXHN for bypass circuits or LPCXHN for restrictive circuits. The optional L control provides stroke adjustment to limit maximum flow. The valve's construction includes Sun's floating style design to minimize internal part binding due to excessive installation torque or machining variations. This valve is a 2-way, 2 position, proportional throttle. Ports 2 and 3 are normally closed.   • These valves may be pressure compensated by an external, modulating, logic element. Use LR_C-XHN for a bypass circuit or LP_C-XHN for a restrictive circuit.

To increase the accuracy of flow control, an external, modulating, logic element can be used to maintain a constant flow over a wider range of flows and pressures.
